Grief and loss are inevitable. In the span of a lifetime, each of us will be called on to be there for others we love and care about as they grieve, just as one day we will need friends to be there for us. Being There for Someone in Grief  by Marianna Cacciatore is a book that explores the sweet, mysterious terrain where we all take turns loving, grieving, and holding one another through the unavoidable pain of loss. Each of us is connected to those who suffer—no matter the circumstances of their pain, or ours. Our liberation is made possible by attending to their healing. The Being There Fund will gift this book to those who could benefit from its teachings and would not have access: people in prison and juvenile detention centers; places where tragedy has occurred; non-profit hospice settings, hospital libraries and grief support centers. After a life-time of giving, Stephen and Ondrea Levine are now at a time to receive from those
of us whose lives have been touched by their presence and teaching. Their greatest needs are financial.
Ondrea has leukemia and the costs of her insurance and treatment have used up their savings. We have
